Founder

What inspires you?

I’ve always been a magpie when it comes to rich, jewel colors, opulent textures and a sense of faded elegance.

Describe the brand in 5 words or less:

A British brand championing a very British aesthetic.

Established

2019

How did you get your start in the industry:

Having worked first in the art world, with stints at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice alongside other galleries, I first cut my teeth in design working for a wonderful antiques and furniture dealer in London. I became his Creative Director, before moving to set up my own interior design practice soon after.

Then, in 2019, I turned to my much loved and long curated collection of antique textiles, fragments and pieces of passementerie – stored carefully away in what I always referred to as my, “One Day Box,” – as inspiration and launched my first collection of fabrics and wallpapers. All our designs are made in England using specialist, traditional techniques honed over generations and, as our collection continues to grow, our unwavering commitment to British Craftsmanship and design remains at its core.

Describe your studio/workspace:

Our team works out of a lovely, converted barn in Dorset, near where I live. We’re unbelievably lucky to be surrounded by extraordinarily beautiful countryside – though, step inside and you’ll always find slightly less beautifully organised chaos!

What makes your brand stand out from the rest:

This really is a collection that stems from the personality and the eye of one individual.

Are you experimenting with any new techniques, mediums, colors, or aesthetics?

Despite being very committed to hand screen printing, we are broadening our offering in order to be able to capture different types of design for different products, also. We hope to be launching these soon.
