PLAIN STRIPE OUTDOOR EMERALD - Inspired by a series of 1930’s samplers, there is a nostalgic and brilliantly British quality to this bold stripe and its distinctive color palette. Suitable for outdoor use, there is a wonderfully old-fashioned feel to this design, as well as a crisp and clean cut aesthetic. Whilst the technique of printing changes with an outdoor design, championing British mills and the heritage of traditional print remains at the heart of this collection.

GILDED ROPE EMERALD WALLPAPER - A very unusual design, this rope wallpaper is based on one of the first fragments of wallpaper Flora collected, dating back to the nineteenth century despite its very modern feel. This linear rope design has been sensitively reworked highlighting the striking contrast of the gold and the charcoal against rich jewel like background colors. The sum of which shows an integrity and homage to traditional techniques and design.

STOCKTON MUTKA - Taking its inspiration from a panel that’s been a treasured part of Flora’s archive for many years, Stockton is a large scale, historic print introduced to the collection. This bold and identifiably Jacobean inspired design champions Flora’s love of strapwork and its flourishes, and stays true to the original fragment with its distinctive watermark patterned background detail.

The Artistry of @adelphipaperhangings! Is this your Design Vibe?!

The enigmatic nature of this design, though created over 200 years ago, hints of more modern sensibilities. Printed in an assertive colorway, it was produced by the French company Manufacture Bon in the late 18th century. The company of Richard Bon – or Jean Richard Bon – was responsible for a number of well documented, graphic patterns.
One full size sample of this pattern, unused and therefore intensely colored is in the Adelphi collection.

Granted special access to Queen Sirikit’s textile archives, Kathryn reimagined timeless Thai designs with her contemporary touch. The textiles feature distinctive hand-painted patterns that honor tradition while embracing modern artistry.

Thai Fret is a pattern often found in Thai architecture and cultural design. The Thai Fret serves as a quiet yet powerful backdrop to the grandeur of the Grand Palace. Kathryn’s interpretation uses a delicate four-color process, infusing this seemingly simple motif with depth and richness.
