To glimpse into our @danddbuilding window collabor To glimpse into our @danddbuilding window collaboration with @kettlewellcollection is to understand the world travels of Founder Allison Kettlewell Allison enlisted her friend @vvandenbosch to assist with the hats and coats featuring their rich, prints. A NYC textile designer with over twenty years experience creating high-end home textiles, it’s no surprise how each collection excited the design community. Born and raised in rural Ohio, Allison works hard to balance her love for both city and country living, a passion reflected in both her work and lifestyle. Her appreciation of nature, artisanal crafts and antique textiles informs her personal aesthetic, as does her love of travel and music. Most of Allison’s design inspiration comes from special items collected during her travels around the world. In 2017, this passion turned into the unique and exceptional Kettlewell Collection of home textiles, sold to architects and interior designers across the globe. @adelphipaperhangings ‘Parrot Tulip Foliate’ is a @adelphipaperhangings ‘Parrot Tulip Foliate’ is a fierce, yet restrained depiction of an arrangement of Parrot Tulips was discovered in the front hall of “The Evergreens” in Amherst, Massachusetts. Constructed in 1857 for Emily Dickinson’s brother Austin and his new wife Susan, the home is located on a lot adjacent to the Dickinson Homestead. Although the original wallpaper was a machine printed product, this is an example of pattern structure which easily translates into a block printed format. And, since it consists of only a ground color and one printed color, it lends itself to either sedate or exuberant custom coloring possibilities. #wallpaperwednesday
