Perfectly precise and immaculate late 18th century Perfectly precise and immaculate late 18th century craftsmanship and exquisite dyeing from south-eastern France is the basis of this design, Wildflower by @susandeliss. “Working with fragments of cloth, perhaps ironically, and certainly serendipitously that I found in England, I have rescaled, reworked and recoloured a tiny antique print to create this design. I have named the collection to which these prints belong Avignon, after the town in the South of France that has provided me with much creative inspiration and joy.” Wildflower is printed in England using the best contemporary craftsmanship, combined with a commitment to protecting the environment. Wildflower is a great weight for upholstery, fabric walling and curtains.; available in four colorways Moss, Teal, Raspberry and Chestnut inside JR NY
@adelphipaperhangings Parakeets and Pearls, French @adelphipaperhangings Parakeets and Pearls, French (Paris,) circa 1780 Typical of French papers of the period, this delicate and highly sophisticated pattern uses naturalistic motifs in an arabesque arrangement. The term “Arabesque” refers to the placement of figures with a bilateral symmetry into a columnar format. In this case the columns are set in a half-drop of the pattern repeat. 1780 This Parisian arabesque exemplifies the technique of creating volume that French designers mastered in the last quarter of the 18th century. With subtle shading it hints at light and shadow. The document color scheme of greens and black against a coral ground was highly fashionable at this time. 1780 Parakeet and Pearls is suitable for almost any principal room or hallway.
